Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA)
After receiving services a diagnosis, your health plan provider or regional center will authorize MAP to conduct an assessment.
What to expect?
1. Our team will gather information through direct observation, interviews, questionnaires, testing, etc.
2. Assessment typically covers, but not limited to, communication skills, social skills and behaviors of concern.
3. Once the assessment is complete, we will be prescribing a treatment plan and service hours, as well as, submit a report to your insurance provider or regional center.

Behavior Health Therapy
You will be working with a clinical team led by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). A Behavior Treatment Plan will be created for your child's individual needs. It covers improving communication, socialization, life skills and other skills related to reducing behaviors of concern. You will also receive caregiver mentorship to help you succeed in behavior intervention.
Adaptive Skills Training
AST is the next step after behavior health treatment. It targets practical life skills and social behavior so you or your child can be more independent. This is usually funded through local regional centers.
Self-Determination
This is a voluntary regional center program that gives participants a budget to purchase the services and support they need. Participants will be implementing their Person-Centered Plan (PCP) and Individual Program Plan (IPP). This is a great option for those seeking to have more control over the types of services they receive. More information can be found on your local regional center website.
